Photographer's Bio's

Most children change what they want to be when they grow up several times. I’ve always wanted to be a photographer nothing else. I did have my childish fantasies of working for National Geographic or some big newspaper and travel the world taking pictures.

In 2001, I get my chance to travel.  I lived and studied abroad in Italy, photographing many people and amazing places all over the country.

September 11, 2001 I woke in my hotel room in Rome to CNN broadcast on every station. Images of New York and the catastrophe of the World Trade Centers bombarded the screen. I franticly searched for a channel in English and spent the next few hours glued to the TV. The next few weeks were a blur. The small town I lived in only had stations in Italian and the newspapers were very vague on info. On the other hand the people were so warm and loving. I was stopped by a women heading into church one day who in minimal English asked if I was American when I shook my head yes she grabbed me and gave me a huge hug and in Italian said, what I minimally understood, that “ she had me (Americans) in her thoughts and prays.” This was one of the most moving events of my live. But the most important lesson I learned was that no matter how amazing it was to travel the world I MISSED HOME. When I returned 3 months later it was as if I had been walking around with my eyes closed for the last 20 yrs. Now my eyes were open to all the amazing things right here at home. I started small shooting pictures in my home town and surrounding area. Then traveled all around the USA seeing some amazing places right here at home.

After graduating from Saginaw Valley State University with my Bac. Of Fine Arts I held a few exhibits locally and then set out to find a local studio and learn as much as I could. I bought a house and planted some roots literally. Found Image Artz and started a great career.

My name is Inez Cappiello-Barrigar.  I like to be described as an outgoing, high energy, fun loving twenty-five year old.  I have been in the photography business for over five years.  In addition to five years of experience I am equipped with a Bachelors of Fine Arts focusing in photography from Saginaw Valley State University. I am also an upstanding member of Professional Photographers of America. Being part of the Image Artz team for the last three and a half years has been the highlight of my photography career.  I plan to continue my growth and advancement in this field with the positive camaraderie that is; the Image Artz family.

My Photography can be described as cutting edge!  I love trying new things and taking on challenges from the minds of my clients.  I am a creator; and creating beautiful portraits that reflect a client’s individuality is my forte. I enjoy all angles of photography, from crafting precious fairytale like portraits of babies and children, to taking on the honor of capturing the magical moments of actual fairytale weddings.  Most of my expertise is focused on today’s high school seniors.  I believe the senior portrait experience should be FUN and MEMORABLE, so I go out of my way to create images that stand out! I strive to express the individual personalities of young adults about to embark on the most exciting transition of their lives. That means taking the time to get to know my seniors, to hear their thoughts and ideas, and do what ever it takes to show the world WHO THEY ARE! You can put your trust in Image Artz; I’m sure you will love the results and even have a little fun too!
